Drew McIntyre got some help from DDP Yoga

Andrew McLean Galloway IV (born 6 June 1985) is a Scottish professional wrestler currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand under the ring name Drew McIntyre.

Just to make it clear this is not the place to find information about Drew McIntyre’s life nor professional wrestling career. Wikipedia can help you for that 🙂

This article is just a foreword to the video linked below. However you’ll find some landmarks to better follow the timeline of events. The main topic is DDP Yoga and yet another wrestler who started doing DDP Yoga to rehab from an injury.

In early 2018, when the video was shot, the former NXT Champion was on the road to recovery from an arm injury he suffered during his NXT Title Match loss to Andrade “Cien” Almas (November 2017).

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Tag Team Champion, and NXT Champion Drew McIntyre was working hard to make his return to in-ring competition. In addition to working out at the WWE Performance Center, McIntyre had also joined forces with WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page and his popular DDP Yoga program. While there, the Scottish Superstar also met another WWE Hall of Famer and DDP Yoga disciple, Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

In short, on April 16th 2018, during the Superstar Shake-up, McIntyre returned from injury on Raw.

“Hard work pays off, dreams come true. Bad times don’t last, but BAD GUYS do.” — says Scott Hall, another pro-wrestler who joined forces with Dallas, but in this case probably to avoid certain death.

On January 26th 2020, at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view , McIntyre won the Royal Rumble match by lastly eliminating Roman Reigns, entitling him a championship opportunity at WrestleMania 36. In the match, McIntyre eliminated six other participants, including WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. The following night on Raw, McIntyre announced that he had chosen to challenge Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania.

And do you know what happened? At WrestleMania 36, McIntyre defeated Lesnar to capture the WWE Championship, his first world championship in WWE and become the first-ever British-born world champion in WWE history, as well as WWE’s thirty-first Triple Crown champion.
