Bye Bye 2020

2020 what to tell you? You have been a turbulent and unstable year, sometimes unexpected and sometimes difficult, different from usual for sure, but still intense with both positive and negative emotions.

The end of this year is in sight and there are already a bunch of posts on social media about how much 2020 has been a year to forget and how much hope there is that 2021 will be better. But are we sure that we want to throw 366 days of our life away? What if we are putting too much hope in the sole hands of 2021?

Of course, if 2020 were a poker croupier he dealt us a hand of shitty cards, but the choice is up to us to fold or go all in to overturn the predictions. In fact it is possible to win a hand with any pair of starting cards, only that with some you have more probabilities, and with others less. Then, it all depends on the way you play. So it’s up to us, it’s up to you, to make 2021 a better year.

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to it.”

Lou Holtz

To be truly ready to leave behind this year for many so painful, our advice is to stop for a moment and reflect.

Surely 2020 has given us many lessons. Let’s try to ask ourselves: What has changed in our life and what have we learned in this last year? Reflect on these teachings whether they have been positive or negative. In these lessons we can strive and find the positive side even in the most suffered ones, they have made us stronger, better and more compassionate.

The next point we can focus on is: What are we thankful for? Let’s start thinking about the little things, those that may seem common at first, but that gave us a smile or even just a moment of ordinary life and you will see that the list will go on and make you rediscover that in the end it’s not all lost and not everything is to be thrown away.

Life is like a mirror, it smiles you if you look at it smiling

Jim Morrison

Ah 2020 … You have also given us a certain amount of resentment and frustration, moments of pure panic and the uncertainty of the future … but now it is the right time to let go and not carry this burden in 2021.

“One of the happiest moments in life is when you find the courage to let go of what you cannot change”

And now here we go … What are your intentions for the new year? Oh yes …. the next year’s results depend on you … What are your goals? How would you like to improve? How will you work to achieve the results you really want?

“The world lies in the hands of those that have the courage to dream and who take the risk of living out their dreams – each according to his or her own talent.”

Paulo Coelho

Now ink it! Write it down, it will be your goodbye to the old year and your testament to the new one.

Bye Bye 2020 and Welcome 2021.
